Frequently Asked Questions (and Answers!)
What do people wear at Kentcov?
At Kent Covenant, you'll find shorts & tatoo's ... jeans and tennis shoes ... to business casual wear. We're really not interested in your clothes, dress in what you find comfortable.
To be honest, we're more focused on welcoming you, loving you like God does and setting you free to use your talents, heal your heart where that may be needed and be part of a diverse (race, country, age, interests, gender, relationship stage) group of people who God is transforming day by day to be more loving, more accepting and more filled with joy all wrapped in the everlasting and secure truth of experiencing God.
What is KCC all about?
We strive to be a church where our love for Jesus and each other goes beyond our Sunday gatherings. We are intentional about meeting throughout the other six days of the week and hanging out through the good and the bad times as we struggle well together through life. We’d love to have you join us as we care for each other as well as those in our daily lives and surrounding community, and have some fun along the way.
What is the driving DNA of KCC?
Picture first century A.D. and the early Christian church as described in the New Testament book of Acts, Chapter 2. People from all walks of life gathered in churches and in homes sharing their joys, concerns, and resources. Gentiles, Jews, slaves, poor people and wealthy people ignored their differences and instead were bound together by their love for Jesus and their unconditional love for each other.
At KCC we want to build and grow a 21st century Acts 2 church that is in the business of being a group of real people who are shaped by a big picture, contemporary and yet unchanging loving God who inspires us to live lives without walls being the hands and feet of Jesus as we lead and serve in our occupations, community and personal families.
